Job summary

Morrison-Maierle is seeking an ICT Designer to join our Buildings group. You will design low voltage building systems, including structured cabling, security, AV, and wireless networks, collaborating with architects and engineers to produce coordinated, code-compliant designs and documentation.

Responsibilities include drafting floor plans, writing specifications, coordinating REVIT models, attending meetings, and ensuring on-time deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in information, communication, and technology system design.
• Fluency with REVIT design software.
• Must have the ability to learn the application of relevant codes.
• Applicable ICT certifications to support design work.
• RCDD certification preferred, or ability to obtain within 5 years from hire.

Responsibilities

• Design ICT floor plans including structured cabling, pathways, telecom rooms, AV, access control, video surveillance, intercoms, and intrusion systems.
• Prepare CSI Division 27 and 28 written specifications.
• Coordinate REVIT model with architects and other disciplines.
• Attend and contribute to internal team, discipline, and project meetings.
• Foster client relationships and collaboration with design teams.
• Research technical product information.
• Conduct configuration and commissioning of systems to ensure full functionality.
• Support team with tools, process improvement, and knowledge sharing.
• Meet client and design team due dates, submission dates, and completion dates.
• Perform job-site inspections and compile punch lists.
• Track multiple projects and requests with follow-up.
