Job summary

Staffmark, in partnership with Stord, is hiring an Inventory Control Associate for the Atlanta, GA area. The role focuses on inspecting incoming material, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the warehouse.

You will use precision measuring tools and a warehouse management system to track counts, investigate discrepancies, and support continuous improvement of accuracy and efficiency on the floor.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience inspecting manufactured products using established quality standards and specifications.
  • Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, or inspection documents.
  • Knowledge of precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring devices.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and document inspection results accurately.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate inventory and bin location discrepancies
  • Research problem orders, receipts, and inventory variances
  • Perform inventory audits and product counts
  • Enter and maintain inventory data within the warehouse management system

  • Stage materials in designated warehouse locations
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment

  • Mon-Fri, 7:30 AM-3:30 PM
  • A1: Sun-Wed, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM
  • B1: Thu-Sat, 6:30 AM-7:00 PM
  • Part-Time: Sat/Sun, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
  • C1: Mon-Fri, 4:00 PM-12:30 AM

This role is responsible for investigating inventory discrepancies, maintaining accurate inventory records, performing product counts, and ensuring quality standards are met. Education Requirements

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous quality inspection, quality assurance, manufacturing, or production experience is preferred.

  • Experience performing first article, in-process, or final product inspections is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards, statistical process control, quality documentation, or corrective action procedures is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate accuracy, professionalism, and a commitment to producing high-quality work are well positioned for success as a Inventory Control Associate.
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform inspection activities throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift products or materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment with accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain visual focus and attention to detail while inspecting products in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
