Job summary

Actalent in Lancaster, OH is seeking a Lab Technician to perform sample preparation and analytical testing on materials and wastewater, ensuring accurate, timely reporting of results.

The role involves operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining laboratory equipment, supporting wastewater quality management, and contributing to battery process optimization within a regulated laboratory environment. Shifts are 6am-2:30pm or 2-10pm. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lancaster, OH.

Qualifications

• Experience with ICP-OES and wastewater analysis.
• Hands-on sample preparation and digestion techniques.
• Familiarity with EPA methods and NPDES testing requirements is a plus.
• Ability to operate in an ISO-regulated laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for analytical testing of materials and wastewater.
• Perform analytical testing following SOPs and testing methods.
• Complete test reports and document results promptly.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Oversee wastewater treatment quality management and ensure discharge limits.
• Provide technical guidance on wastewater quality management as needed.
• Investigate issues in wastewater testing and analytics.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and arrange service when needed.
• Conduct limited research to optimize battery-related processes.
