Job summary

IceLand Ice Arena is looking for a part-time Zamboni driver to join our team. Responsibilities include opening the facility in the early morning, maintaining and cleaning the arena, operating the Zamboni, monitoring refrigeration readings, and performing general janitorial tasks.

Training is provided for the resurfacer, with English literacy required for daily operations. Candidates must be at least 18 with a valid driver’s license and be able to read, write, and speak English.

Qualifications

• Ice resurfacer experience preferred but training is provided.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Open the facility in the early morning.
• Maintain and clean the facility daily.
• Operate a Zamboni ice resurfacer.
• Monitor refrigeration system and log hourly readings.
• Perform janitorial duties such as cleaning washrooms, changing light bulbs, taking out trash, mopping floors, washing windows.

• Building maintenance including cleaning washrooms, changing light bulbs, taking out trash, mopping floors, washing windows and general janitorial chores

Maintenance Tech reports directly to the General Manager.

Requirements

• Qualified candidates with prior ice resurfacer experience preferred but training is provided
• Applicants must be flexible and be available to work hours stated
• Must be 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• This is a part time position with no benefits
