Job summary

The City of Cleveland Heights is seeking a Community Center Maintenance/Ice Rink Zamboni Driver for the Department of Parks & Recreation. This is a full-time, on-site role with duties including custodial care and ice-rink maintenance.

Responsibilities include operating the Zamboni, equipment maintenance, inventory management, and assisting with facilities setup and grounds upkeep. A valid CDL Class B, Ice Technician certification within 6 months, and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
CDL Class B license required.
Certified Ice Technician or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire.
Ability to lift approximately 100 pounds.
Willingness to work weekends/evenings as needed.
Must maintain safe work practices and good communication with staff.

Responsibilities

Custodial care and maintenance of Community Center facilities, including the Ice Rink and Senior Activity Center.
Operate the Zamboni to maintain the ice surface.
Inspect and maintain equipment, refuel vehicles, and report faults.
Monitor inventory and restock supplies as needed.
Perform general cleaning and setup for events and meetings.
Maintain grounds and assist with park maintenance as directed.
Assist with seasonal shifts and overtime as required.
