Job summary

Uintah County in Vernal, Utah, seeks a Complex & Event Operations Specialist to manage night and weekend facility operations, events, and ice rink support. You will supervise seasonal staff, monitor HVAC/lighting, and ensure safety and compliance across venues.

The role includes custodial, concessions, grounds care, and operating tractors, skid steers, backhoes, dump trucks, and Zambonis, plus basic POS handling. Requires a HS diploma and 2+ years in related work.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED plus 2+ years in facility operations or related trades.
Preference for trade school or facilities management coursework.
Experience with electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or carpentry work is a plus.

Responsibilities

Coordinate room layouts and event prep for facility operations.
Monitor HVAC and lighting; ensure fire safety compliance.
Oversee custodial and maintenance tasks; supervise seasonal staff.
Operate heavy equipment and assist with ice rink support and rental gear inspections.
