Job summary

The City of Elkhart is seeking NIBCO Ice Park Skate Guards/Attendants to ensure patron safety on the ice rink and assist with skate rental, concessions, and general maintenance. The role requires basic skating knowledge, reliability, and strong communication.

Responsibilities include enforcing rules, handling cash at the admissions and rental counters, and supporting events and daily park operations. Evening and weekend hours are common, with a winter season focus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old with reliable transportation.
• Basic knowledge of ice skating and familiarity with ice rink rules and safety guidelines.
• First aid training and certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce safety regulations on the ice rink.
• Help with the skate rental process and keep inventory of rental equipment and concession supplies.
• Regularly inspect and maintain ice skate rental equipment.
• Help with transactions for the admissions, concessions, and skate rental counters.
• Assist with the planning and execution of ice park events and programs.
• Communicate with the NIBCO Manager about facility issues and concerns.
• Help maintain food and drink inventory at the concessions stand.
• Assist with regular facility cleaning.
