Job summary

Reddy Ice Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to repair and service ice merchandisers at customer locations and company facilities. The role involves installations, replacements, and preventive maintenance while maintaining safety and professional conduct.

The technician will travel to customer sites, participate in trainings, and uphold a customer-centric service standard with adherence to SOPs and company policies.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 or Universal certification required.
• High School diploma, Trade School Certificate in refrigeration, or equivalent experience required.
• Basic computer and handheld skills needed to follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Conducts repairs and service calls on ice merchandisers.
• Completes installations, replacements, and removals of ice merchandisers at customer locations.
• Performs preventive maintenance and cleaning of ice merchandisers.
• Works at customer locations, Reddy Ice plants & DC’s, and within refurbishment centers.
• Attends technician trainings and learns additional trade skills as directed.
• Maintains vehicle, tools, and equipment in good working order; communicates supply needs.
• Engages with customers to promote outstanding service and a customer-centric culture.
• Suggests SOP improvements to the Field Equipment Service Manager and shares best practices.
• Maintains professional conduct, adheres to safety rules, and reports incidents promptly.
• Able to work in a team and assist with other duties as required.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
• Maintains high ethical standards and safety as a priority.
