Job summary

The Gengras Center in West Hartford, CT is seeking a part-time Ice Hockey Men's Assistant Coach to assist in organizing and directing a competitive collegiate program. Responsibilities include recruiting qualified student-athletes, developing practice and game plans, and managing team travel.

Responsibilities include assisting the head coach with the organizing and directing all aspects of a successful and competitive collegiate program. The recruitment of qualified student-athletes and a demonstrated commitment to their personal, athletic, and academic success are essential. Responsibilities may also include recruiting, travel management, scheduling, player development, and budget management. This is a part-time appointment.

• Assist in the process of recruiting prospective qualified student-athletes.
• Assist in the development and supervision of practice and game planning.
• Assist with the organization of team travel.
• Effectively demonstrates technical skills at the collegiate level.
• Assist with fundraising.
• Ensure compliance with all College, NCAA Division III and GNAC policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as required by the Head Men's Hockey Coach.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Previous coaching experience at the secondary and/or college level preferred.
