Job summary

DECC is seeking a part-time Ice & Grounds Maintenance team member to ensure ice quality and grounds upkeep for events at AMSOIL Arena and DECC Arena. You will support snow removal, salting, and surface prep between events, while maintaining safety and cleanliness across facilities.

The role requires ice skating ability, manual labor, and flexibility to work day, evening, or weekend shifts. Uniforms are provided; preventive safety protocols are observed.

• Proficiency in skating on ice surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Flood rinks to maintain ice and surface quality.
• Operate ice resurfacing tools (Zamboni, edger, chipper).
• Ensure arena cleanliness and event area setup.
• Maintain lawn and grounds and related tasks.
• Perform snow removal and salting of lots and sidewalks.
• Drive forklift for event move-ins and loadouts.
• Support other departments with event-related tasks.
