Job summary

United Dairy Farmers is seeking full-time workers for 1st shift production at our Ice Cream production facility in Norwood, OH. The role suits a self-starter with attention to detail, basic math, and mechanical aptitude. Steel toe boots and safety glasses are required; environment includes cooled areas, heavy lifting, and 18+ age requirement.

Applicants will operate equipment, learn GMPs, and uphold safety/quality standards. Pre-employment drug screening and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have dependable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Operate various equipment following all Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Willingness to learn and understand the principles of manufacturing Ice Cream.
• Learn, understand and promote Safety and Quality in our manufacturing environment.
• Learn and understand set-up and usage of all equipment.
• Learn and understand equipment tear down, cleaning and sanitation procedures including CIP and COP.
• Clear and professional communication with entire team.
• Drive the production process to ensure products meet customer specification, quality and food safety.
• Ensure production meets targets outputs through effective control of the manufacturing process.
• Ensure health and safety requirements are fully met and a positive safety culture is maintained.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, food manufacturing experience a plus.
