Job summary
Magnum Ice Cream Co. Covington plant is seeking a Utilities Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repair of electrical, mechanical, plumbing and building systems on a 12-hour night shift.
The role requires diagnosing issues, inspecting boilers, chillers, and air equipment, and keeping maintenance logs in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure safety, quality and productivity, support energy management, and uphold environmental
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required, technical training preferred.
- 1+ year of maintenance trades experience in plumbing/HVAC/mechanical/electrical.
- Ability to operate hand tools, follow instructions and read gauges.
Responsibilities
- Maintains heating, cooling, ventilation and building operations; repairs malfunctions as needed.
- Performs electrical, plumbing, painting and carpentry tasks to meet facility needs.
- Inspects mechanical equipment daily and reads boiler/chiller/air compressor readings.
- Installs and repairs electrical apparatus; tests water quality and adjusts as needed.
- Monitors wastewater and emission gas status; responds to emergencies.
- Maintains logs and documents repairs; supports continuous improvement.
