Magnum Ice Cream Co. in Sikeston, MO is seeking an Engineering Mechanic who will work independently to ensure timely maintenance of central engineering systems and provide technical support across the facility.

You will maintain boilers, cooling towers, conveyors, electrical systems, and plant equipment, perform minor carpentry, painting, and preventive maintenance, and follow safety procedures. Applicants should have a high school diploma, basic electrical and mechanical skills, and the ability

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Pass required test for this position.
• Operate a computer and related maintenance software.
• Ability to work in hot and cold conditions, lift up to 50 pounds.
• Interpret basic Process & Instrumentation drawings (P&ID), electrical schematics and equipment manuals.
• Strong mechanical and fabrication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operational/Maintenance of boiler systems.
• Operational/Maintenance of Cooling Tower systems.
• Light duty electrical troubleshooting.
• Maintenance of freezer and floor temperatures.
• Maintenance of freezer equipment, film wrappers and conveyors.
• Performance of painting, cement work, office area maintenance, lighting, and minor carpentry work.
• Performance of minor maintenance on walls and floor of facility.
• Maintenance for Foot bath systems.
• Plumbing, floor drain blockages, sewage monitoring and/or treatments.
• Cleaning of grounds area.
• Respond to manufacturing maintenance calls as required.
• Maintain Hazwoper equipment and storage room.
• Maintain SCBA clean up and storage, testing and all other equipment.
• Maintenance of plant equipment as assigned.
• Perform tasks related to shipping/receiving equipment or parts.
• Work associated with HVAC equipment, Exhaust fans, Lighting, Lawn sprinkler system, Floor scrubber equipment, Battery charging equipment.
• Perform all assigned Preventative Maintenance (PM).
• Follow all required safety procedures and work in a safe manner.
