Job summary

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is hiring part-time Scoopers at our Rittenhouse shop in Philadelphia, PA. You will greet guests, scoop ice cream, and educate customers on flavors while upholding high hospitality standards.

The role offers $13.00 per hour plus an average of $10 per hour in tips, with at least three shifts per week and availability past midnight. A food handler certificate is required and you must be 18 or older.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Genuine passion for ice cream and desserts.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work 3 days a week including nights and weekends past 12 am.

Responsibilities

• Greet every guest warmly, with enthusiasm and genuine hospitality.
• Scoop and serve guests all menu items while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
• Educate guests on flavors, ingredients and specials.
• Prepare fresh, house-made menu items daily.
• Operate Square POS system for checkout.
• Follow food safety procedures and maintain sanitation.
• Maintain store cleanliness and perform daily tasks like stocking.
• Follow safety, grooming, and conduct standards.
• Assist with inventory and cleaning as needed.
