Responsibilities

• Adhere to coding standards and AHIMA guidelines; completes compliance tasks.
• Apply diagnostic and procedural codes to patient records for data retrieval and claims.
• Maintain accuracy levels per department standards and participate in quarterly reviews.
• Abstract pertinent information such as admit source, discharge disposition, and present on admission.
• Submit queries to clarify documentation to ensure coding accuracy.
