Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a Coding Auditor to independently assign accurate diagnosis and procedures codes across ED, ASC, HAS, OBS, IP and other facility records. You will utilize CBCT and OPTUM 360 EncoderPRO, work with EpicCare, and validate CAC coding while maintaining CMS and NCCI guidelines.

The role requires on-site training for one week, English fluency, and the ability to communicate with physicians for clarification.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in a directly related coding field or 18 months within the Healthcare Apprentice program.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in medical record review and translating clinical information into coded data with CAC verification.
• Identify and assign principal diagnosis and procedure codes ensuring proper APC/MS-DRG/APR-DRG assignment.
• Research coding guidelines using Coding Clinic and CPT Assistant and stay current with CMS regulations.
• Perform chart analysis to ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation and coding.
