Job summary

Kleinfelder's Central and Northern California offices are seeking a Special Inspector to join our growing Bay Area team. The role involves inspecting active projects, performing field and laboratory tests on soils and concrete, and producing daily reports to support project goals.

Applicants should have strong initiative, be willing to travel throughout the Bay Area, and possess the required certifications or the ability to obtain them within 60 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to obtain additional certifications within 60 days is a plus.
• Strong initiative and ability to perform inspection and testing in the field.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine to complex inspection and testing of construction materials in the field to verify conformance to plans and specifications.
• Conduct routine laboratory tests on soils and concrete, including compaction curves and compressive strength tests.
• Interact daily with owner and contractor teams and prepare daily reports and data sheets.
