You would be a great fit for a supervisor role at Saks Global Fulfillment Centers if you enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic warehouse environment. This candidate would be responsible for overseeing a large team of non-exempt associates end to end in their associate lifecycle including training, review of talent, talent development, and performance management while also driving business results and key performance metrics.

The Inventory Control and Quality Assurance Supervisor will oversee a team of IC (Inventory Control) Specialists and QA (Quality Assurance) Specialists to ensure the accuracy/quality for the complete product life cycle from receiving to shipping. This position will be accountable for tracking, reporting, and communicating findings to various business groups. This position will report into the Manager of Inventory Control and Quality Assurance at our East Coast Distribution Center in Pittston, PA.

  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring that stock levels are consistent with expected quantities.
  • Monitoring the quality of goods received and processed, ensuring they meet quality standards.
  • Identifying and resolving issues related to inventory discrepancies, quality control problems, or operational inefficiencies.
  • Overseeing and guiding team members to ensure they are performing their duties effectively and adhering to company standards.
  • Identifying areas where processes can be improved to enhance inventory accuracy, quality, and efficiency.
  • Managing and coordinating daily operations within the fulfillment center, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring goals are met.
  • Providing data analysis and partnership to departments as needed on inventory and quality control issues.

Specific Tasks May Include:

  • Conducting inventory audits and cycle counts.
  • Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensuring proper storage and handling of merchandise.
  • Training and mentoring team members.
  • Working with other departments to address issues related to inventory or quality.
  • Sending network level communication to other partners in the organization including but not limited to Finance, Store partners, Merchants, Partner Relations, etc.
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
  • 3-5 years of management experience, in a progressive warehouse/distribution environment, with a focus in Inventory Control
  • Ability to supervise teams and manage heavy workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management, planning, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong sense of customer service
  • Proficient in various technology platforms including Microsoft office, Google docs, Tableau, and Slack as examples.
