Job summary

Calpine Corporation in the United States is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to maintain and repair electrical equipment, instrumentation, and plant control systems. You will monitor the DCS, perform routine troubleshooting, use CMMS, and help keep logs, manuals and procedures neat and up to date in a safety‑conscious environment.

2–5 years in instrument/electrical and control systems is preferred, with knowledge of NEC/NFPA codes and experience with Mark VI or Emerson Ovation

Qualifications

High school diploma or technical/vocational training required.
2-5 years' experience in instrument/electrical and control systems.
Experience with Mark VI or Emerson Ovation preferred.
Strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA codes.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair electrical equipment and instrumentation.
Monitor, maintain, and repair plant Distributed Control System (DCS).
Perform routine troubleshooting and CMMS documentation.
Optimize plant preventive maintenance per OEM recommendations, regulatory requirements, and corporate maintenance philosophy.
Provide written reports on control system conditions when required.
