Qualifications

• Over 10 years of hands-on experience with IBM i / AS400 systems, focusing on application development and system support.
• Proficiency in RPG IV, RPGLE, Free-Format RPG, SQLRPGLE, CL, and SQL for application development and database modifications.
• Extensive experience with EDI technologies, including mapping, translation, partner onboarding, and transaction management.
• Strong expertise in integrating IBM i applications with modern systems using REST APIs, JSON, XML, and web services.
• Skilled in FTP/SFTP, AS2 protocols, and third-party EDI tools such as Cleo and Extol.
• Solid SQL and relational database development abilities.
• Experience supporting critical business functions related to orders, inventory, logistics, shipping, and financial transactions.
• Ability to troubleshoot and support IBM i production environments effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support and modernize critical enterprise applications on the IBM i platform.
• Integrate IBM i apps with modern systems using REST APIs, JSON, and web services.
• Manage EDI integrations, mappings, and partner onboarding for 850/855/856/810/852 sets.

• Extensive experience with EDI technologies, including mapping, translation, partner onboarding, and transaction management, supporting transaction sets like 850, 855, 856, 810, and 852

• Background in retail, manufacturing, wholesale distribution, or supply chain industries
• Understanding of DevOps practices or cloud integration

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Senior/Principal-level IBM i professional with 25+ years of experience is highly preferred
