MJ Celco is seeking an IBM i / RPG Developer to join our manufacturing IT team in a hybrid role in Schiller Park, IL.

You will design, develop, maintain, and modernize core applications powering production scheduling, inventory control, shipping, and shop floor management, bridging legacy RPG with modern DevOps.

The role emphasizes Git versioning, VS Code, TOBi, and Code for IBM i, with collaboration across executives and plant teams.

Qualifications

• Experience modernizing legacy RPG/CL on IBM i.
• Proficient with VS Code and Code for IBM i.
• Git version control and TOBi build tools familiarity.
• DB2 for i and advanced SQL experience.
• Understanding modular programming with service programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RPG IV/Free-Form RPG and CL/CLLE apps.
• Use VS Code with Code for IBM i to develop.
• Configure and maintain automated builds with TOBi.
• Support ERP maintenance and integration.
• Develop shop floor integrations with WMS, barcode, etc.
• Write and optimize DB2 queries and procedures.
• Migrate legacy code to modern IBM i standards.
• Collaborate with executives and plant teams to translate needs.
