Job summary

Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES) seeks an experienced AS/400 Developer/Administrator for a long-term contract with the Oklahoma Insurance Department. The role covers maintenance, database management, and application administration on the IBM i environment.

Key duties include legacy RPG/CL code maintenance, DB2 for i query tuning, security configuration, and coordinating with external hosting providers for patching, backups, and disaster recovery testing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on AS400 (IBM i) development and support.
• Proficiency in RPG IV (ILE RPG), RPGLE, CL, and SQL on DB2 for i.
• Experience with hosted/managed AS400 environments.
• Experience in IBM i work management, subsystems, and security.

Responsibilities

• Legacy Application Maintenance & Support for RPG/CL on AS/400.
• Coordinate hosting provider activities for OS patching and environments.
• Manage DB2 for i databases, tuning SQL queries and indexes.
• Document system flows and interdependencies for cloud migrations.
