Job summary

CJ Schwan’s is hiring for a full-time production role in a food manufacturing setting. You will unpack materials, mix ingredients, assemble products and package finished goods while ensuring quality standards throughout the process.

The 2nd shift runs 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. with starting pay of $17.25 per hour plus a $1.50 night differential. Benefits include weekly Friday pay, PTO, holidays, 3 health plans, vision plans, 401k with company match, and disability coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 0 to 1 years of experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand on concrete for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble products and package finished goods.
• Ensure all products meet company and government quality standards.
• Inspect products and document waste as directed.
• Notify supervisor of quality issues, ingredient problems, or equipment breakdowns.
• Follow USDA, OSHA, GMP and safety regulations in all tasks.

What You Will Do:

• Unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble products, and package finished goods.


• Ensure that all products (from raw materials to finished products) meet company and government quality standards.


• Inspect products; throwing out or fixing products as necessary; writing down amount of waste as directed.


• Notify supervisor of quality issues, ingredient/material problems and/or equipment breakdowns.


• Perform all duties in compliance with existing USDA, OSHA, State, Federal, and company regulations, policies, and procedures (including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and safety regulations).

What We Look For:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.


• Minimum of 0 to 1 years of experience.


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods on concrete floors.


• Strong manual dexterity; capable of performing repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions.


• Be adaptable to rotating schedules, including weekends and overtime as needed.
