Job summary

Atlantic Health System is looking for an Advanced Practice Professional (NP or PA) specialized in Gastroenterology to join its expanding IBD Program in Summit, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in gastrointestinal care or another pertinent specialty with a focus on IBD.

This position offers a balanced work schedule from Monday to Friday, devoid of weekend or on-call duties, and entails both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in GI or another subspecialty.

• Ability to manage and document patient care appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for patients and their families.
• Support patient rights and optimal healthcare environments.
• Develop and implement treatment plans.
• Perform evidence-based interventions.
• Evaluate effectiveness of interventions.
• Document care appropriately in medical records.
• Manage health education needs of patients.
• Initiate consultations and referrals.
• Collaborate with disciplines for improved outcomes.
• Prioritize daily tasks and assignments.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in patient care.
