Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in Arizona seeks a Lactation Professional (RN, IBCLC) to empower new parents through evidence-based lactation support. You will assess, educate, and tailor care plans for prenatal and postpartum families at Chandler Regional Medical Center and Mercy Gilbert Medical Center.

You will collaborate with the health team, document visits, and adapt strategies to individual needs across FCC, SCC, and NICU settings, ensuring integrated support for infant feeding and health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required
• Registered Nurse AZ license is required
• Minimum of one year experience with breastfeeding mothers in maternal child health setting
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• IBCLC Certification required or actively pursuing certification

Responsibilities

• Performs routine lactation consultations independently at Chandler Regional Medical Center or Mercy Gilbert Medical Center
• Collaborates with health team including charge nurse, staff nurses, and physicians regarding patient consultations/breastfeeding needs
• Prioritizes patient visits related to lactation consultation
• Assesses patients in FCC, SCC and NICU settings
• Evaluates and modifies the plan of care for breastfeeding based on patient responses
• Documents lactation visits, assessments, and care plans
