Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
• Certified Lactation Registered Nurse experience required.
• IBCLC Certification required; NYS RN license and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing duties for patient groups with accountability for practice and growth.
• Documents patient assessments, reassessments, and progress toward goals accurately and timely.
• Promotes patient safety and quality in accordance with National Patient Safety Goals.
• Communicates and collaborates with healthcare team, escalating when needed.
• Establishes caring relationships with staff, patients, families, and other team members.
• Administers medications and parenteral therapy per policy, including blood administration.
• Sets priorities for patient care using critical thinking and coordinates responsibilities.
• Provides patient/family education and assists in discharge planning.
