Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Counselling, Education, Psychology, Career Guidance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in university counselling, college advising, or a similar guidance role, preferably within an international or IB school setting.
• Strong knowledge of international university admissions systems, particularly the UK, USA, Canada, and Europe.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized university and career counselling to students in Year 10-13, with a focus on IB Diploma Programme students.
• Guide students through the university application process, including course selection, admissions requirements, timelines, and application strategies.
• Support students in preparing high-quality university application materials, including personal statements, essays, resumes, and portfolios where applicable.
• Assist with applications for universities in multiple destinations, including the UK, USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, and other international systems.
• Organise and deliver university and career guidance workshops for students and parents on topics such as admissions processes, financial aid, scholarships, and career pathways.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with universities, admissions representatives, and external educational organizations.
• Coordinate university visits, higher education fairs, information sessions, and career exploration events.
• Write and manage school documentation required for university applications, including counsellor recommendations, transcripts, and supporting reports.
• Monitor student progress and collaborate with teachers, coordinators, and school leadership to ensure students are meeting university entrance requirements.
• Stay current with global higher education trends, admissions requirements, scholarship opportunities, and developments within the IB Diploma Programme.
