• Bachelor’s degree in the subject area.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience developing innovative curricula and engaging in pedagogical practices that focus on hands-on experiential learning.
• An understanding of independent schools and enthusiasm for IST’s mission.
• Commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement, including remaining knowledgeable about current instructional and curricular trends.
• Knowledge of IB would be advantageous.
• Sense of humor.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted interventions largely in Math for middle/high school students.
• Support teachers in advancing students with different learning needs in the classroom.
• Collaborate with parents, students, and outside professionals to support progress.
• Close achievement gaps, reinforce core concepts, and build student confidence.
• Work with classroom teachers to help students meet grade-level standards.
