Qualifications

• The candidate must hold a Michigan Teaching Certificate and haveSecondary school teaching experience.
• Experience with IB unit planning and units of inquiry preferred.
• Demonstrated success closing achievement gaps and collaborating with teams.
• Proficiency with workshop teaching, Word Generation, Reading Apprenticeship, PBL, SIOP and data-informed instruction.
• Experience collecting and analyzing data (report cards, tests) to guide teaching.
• Daily use of Developmental Designs strategies in classroom practice.

Responsabilités

• Work with IB coordinator and principals to implement MYP program with fidelity.
• Support School Improvement Plan and IB-related initiatives.
• Be conversant with IB standards and Learner Profile; plan and develop MYP units.
• Write MYP units of inquiry aligned to Michigan standards.
• Collaborate across grades to align vertical/horizontal curriculum.
• Use MYP assessment criteria with four objectives for each group.
• Develop formative assessments to monitor growth and guide instruction.
• Communicate with parents and community through websites, email, calls, and conferences.
• Attend regularly and contribute to IB program promotion.

Michigan Teaching Certificate

Secondary school teaching experience
