Job summary

The Montessori School of Raleigh and Carolina Preparatory Academy seek a Part‑Time Adjunct Spanish Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The role focuses on Spanish 3 and IB DP Spanish, serving MYP and DP students in a collaborative, inclusive environment at the Carolina Prep campus in Durham.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Spanish or related field, a minimum of three years teaching experience, and demonstrated proficiency in Spanish.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, World Languages, Education, or a related field required.
• Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience in Spanish language instruction at the middle school and/or secondary level.
• Experience with International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme preferred; IB training or certification in Language Acquisition strongly desired.
• Demonstrated proficiency in spoken and written Spanish; native or near-native fluency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to IB standards for MYP and DP instruction.
• Design and deliver MYP/DP curricula aligned with global contexts and assessment criteria.
• Submit curriculum docs, unit plans, and syllabi for accreditation and transparency.
• Provide formative and summative assessments and timely feedback.
• Support differentiated instruction and inclusive learning environments.
