Job summary

Alignerr Corp. is seeking an experienced IAM Solutions Engineer for a fully remote hourly contract. You will evaluate identity workflows, authentication mechanisms, and permission structures, delivering clear, actionable findings to strengthen security posture at scale.

Ideal candidates possess hands-on IAM experience, proficient in SAML, OIDC, and OAuth, and can work independently with little supervision on flexible schedules.

Qualifications

About The Role

What if your deep knowledge of identity systems and access-control logic could directly strengthen the security posture of organizations at scale? We're looking for an experienced IAM Solutions Engineer to evaluate identity workflows, authentication mechanisms, and permission structures - identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement across complex environments.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for seasoned IAM professionals who can work independently, think critically, and deliver clear, actionable findings.

What You’ll Do

• Review end-to-end identity workflows covering authentication and authorization logic
• Analyze access-control policies for least-privilege alignment and misconfigurations
• Validate SSO, MFA, federated identity, and directory integrations across platforms
• Identify security gaps in privilege provisioning and identity lifecycle management
• Document permission structures in clear, structured, and actionable formats
• Support recurring IAM reviews across multiple identity platforms and environments
• Surface improvement recommendations grounded in industry best practices

Who You Are

• Hands-on experience with IAM platforms, identity protocols, and access-control models
• Strong understanding of authentication flows - SAML, OIDC, and OAuth
• Ability to evaluate complex permission structures and translate findings into clear documentation
• Methodical, detail-oriented approach with strong independent judgment
• Comfortable working asynchronously and delivering quality work without close supervision

Nice To Have

• Experience designing or implementing enterprise IAM solutions
• Familiarity with zero-trust architecture principles and deployment patterns
• Background in security auditing, compliance frameworks, or identity governance
