Job Summary:

BNY is seeking a Senior IAM Engineer – SailPoint Specialist to join our Identity Access Management (IAM) team. This role is responsible for engineering and supporting enterprise-wide identity governance solutions using SailPoint, with a focus on designing, developing, customizing, and troubleshooting SailPoint implementations on a clustered, virtualized on-premises platform.

Ideal candidates will have 8+ years of hands-on experience in IAM engineering with deep expertise in SailPoint IdentityNow or IdentityIQ, especially within complex, enterprise environments. You’ll collaborate across teams to implement IAM best practices, onboard applications, and ensure robust, scalable identity governance solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engineer and support IAM solutions using SailPoint, including design, development, customization, troubleshooting, and L3 support.
• Collaborate with IT Security, Operations, and Application Development teams to define and implement IAM best practices.
• Onboard and correlate application accounts to SailPoint Identity cubes; troubleshoot connectors such as Active Directory, LDAP, MS Entra ID, Web-API, Database, Mainframe, Snowflake, and more.
• Resolve escalated support issues and provide audit and compliance reporting support.
• Monitor, maintain, and scale SailPoint infrastructure performance.
• Develop and document operational processes and guidance for support teams.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years in information security or related IT fields, ideally in financial services.
• Expert-level experience in SailPoint IAM engineering (on-premise), including Lifecycle Manager and Compliance Manager modules.
• Strong experience in access request workflows, approval, provisioning, certification/attestation, RBAC, SOD, reporting, plugin development, and API integrations.
• Skilled in Java J2EE, BeanShell scripting, RESTful web services, and Unix-based databases.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skills; experience with performance tuning Apache/Tomcat tiers is a plus.
• Additional experience with IAM tools like Okta, Saviynt is preferred.
