Job summary

Vercel is hiring an IT Systems Engineer to build, secure, and improve the systems employees rely on, focusing on IAM and MDM. You’ll share ownership with IT and Security, use automation, and apply AI to streamline workflows. Terraform for code-based configuration is a strong plus.

This hands-on role requires in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from SF, NY, or ATX, with collaboration across Security and Engineering.

Qualifications

• Experience managing IAM systems and IAM as code.
• Hands-on with Okta integrations, SSO, MFA, groups, provisioning.
• MDM configuration and device management knowledge.
• Experience using scripting and APIs to automate IT workflows.

Responsibilities

• Configure and improve Okta with SSO, MFA, provisioning and access policies.
• Build onboarding, role-change, and offboarding workflows.
• Configure and maintain MDM devices, patches, encryption and compliance.
• Define least-privilege access with Security and policy reviews.
• Design scripts and automation across Okta, MDM, Google Workspace, Slack, and ITSM integrations.
• Expand IT systems management via code, incl. Terraform for Okta and other resources.
• Use AI tools to speed troubleshooting, scripting, and documentation while validating outputs.
• Serve as escalation point for identity, device, and systems issues.
