Job summary
Vercel Inc. is seeking an IT Systems Engineer to design and secure IAM/MDM systems for a fast-growing engineering team. Hybrid role in SF/NY/Austin with three days in the office, focused on automating access, provisioning, and device management to keep data safe while enabling rapid shipping.
You will build integrations, leverage AI tooling with oversight, and partner with Security to enforce least-privilege access and device controls.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of hands-on IT systems engineering experience.
- Deep expertise in IAM or MDM and working knowledge of the other.
- Administered Okta and integrated apps using SAML, OIDC, and SCIM.
- Wrote automation in Python or Bash against APIs and reviewed AI-generated code.
Responsibilities
- Configure Okta including SSO, MFA, groups, and provisioning.
- Build onboarding, role changes, and offboarding automation.
- Configure and maintain MDM for enrollment, deployment, patching, and encryption.
- Build scripts and API integrations across Okta, MDM, Google Workspace, Slack, and ITSM; review AI outputs before shipping.
- Partner with Security on least-privilege access and device security reviews.
