Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a strategic IAM leader to shape the future of identity and access management across internal and external users. You will lead a team of system administrators, driving innovation in identity governance, access management, and privilege controls in a hybrid environment.

You will collaborate with Cybersecurity, IT, HR, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable solutions, maintain SLAs, and guide technology roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in cyber security, IT infrastructure, or application project roles with leadership.
• Deep knowledge of IAM technologies including Microsoft Entra ID, Azure B2C, Okta, Ping Identity, SailPoint, OneIdentity, PAM solutions, and related platforms.
• Experience with authentication protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
• Experience with compliance activities such as SOX and CIP.

Responsibilities

• Lead the IAM program, ensuring secure management of identities, authentication, authorization, and access.
• Develop and execute IAM strategy, roadmap, and operating model.
• Manage a team responsible for identity lifecycle workflows and access governance.
• Maintain current knowledge through webinars, conferences, and publications; build professional networks.
• Oversee RBAC, MFA, SSO, and passwordless authentication within enterprise environments.
