Michigan State University Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) is offering an Identity and Access Management internship on a hybrid schedule with the headquarters on the East Lansing campus. The part-time role runs 15-25 hours per week during the Winter/Spring semester, starting January 6, with pay at $16.00+ per hour.

You will shadow the IAM team, assist with routine access requests, onboarding/offboarding activities, access reviews, and documentation under supervision, gaining hands-on experience in

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Actively pursuing Associate or Bachelor degree in a related field of study.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both individually and in a group setting.
• Ability to work independently, with general guidance, towards an agreed upon goal.
• Familiarity and experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality when handling employee access information.

Mansioni

• Gain an understanding of Identity and Access Management via job shadowing, work assignments, and exposure to the day-to-day activities of the IAM team.
• Join IAM team meetings, as a full member of the team.
• Assist in fulfilling routine user access requests under the guidance of IAM team members, helping protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data assets.
• Support the on-boarding, transfer, and off-boarding access process, helping ensure tickets are created, tracked, and escalated to relevant teams in a timely fashion.
• Assist with access exception reports and spot checks to help confirm access levels are correct in systems and applications.
• Support periodic access reviews and provide data to assist with security audits regarding role-based access.
• Help create and maintain documentation, including workflows and procedures, under the direction of IAM staff.
• Understand the Credit Union's policies and procedures to ensure compliance and accountability for managing operational risks.
• Adhere to established internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, and maintain the integrity of credit union operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned
