Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on access and identity management experience.
• Experience as a business or systems analyst with access governance, risk, audit, or compliance exposure.
• Experience with SailPoint or equivalent IAM platform.
• Proficiency with ServiceNow, SharePoint, and MS Teams.
• Experience with access review processes and segregation-of-duties analysis.
• Comfort working in a high-volume ticket queue with defined turnaround times.
• Strong written and verbal communication across technical and business teams.
• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases is a plus.
• Knowledge of health plan operations/open enrollment is a plus.

OVERVIEW

Releady is partnering with a leading health plan's information security and controls assurance team on a Senior, IAM Governance Analyst position. The team is responsible for access request reviews and segregation-of-duties oversight across the organization's identity and access management environment, and does not own the underlying identity technology itself — a separate platform engineering group is responsible for the directory, provisioning, and identity platform infrastructure.

This governance team currently manages the organization's full volume of access request activity. The immediate need is being driven by a seasonal increase in access-related volume tied to open enrollment, though the work itself continues year-round.

NOTE: Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship. Not C2C eligible

• Employment Type:6mo contract (with opportunity to extend)
• Location:Hybrid — 2x/week onsite; San Diego, Long Beach, Sacramento, Rancho Cordova, or Oakland (SF Bay Area)
• Compensation:$50 – $55/hr

RESPONSIBILITIES

Access Request Operations

• Manage a high volume of access requests daily, working across approximately 13 distinct ticket types, including departmental transfers and new user onboarding across multiple departments.
• Complete a structured first week of training covering all ticket types and proper submission procedures before taking on independent request volume.
• Meet service-level expectations for request turnaround as part of a small team handling the organization's full access request queue.

Access Governance and Segregation of Duties

• Conduct access request reviews to confirm that requested access aligns with role, department, and policy requirements.
• Perform segregation-of-duties analysis to identify and flag conflicting access combinations before provisioning decisions are finalized.
• Apply established governance standards consistently across access decisions, escalating exceptions appropriately.

Documentation and Process Support

• Maintain and update process documentation, including RACIs, process flows, and standard operating procedures that support the team's governance function.
• Support continuous improvement of ticket submission processes and governance workflows based on day-to-day queue experience.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with the hiring manager and a small team of governance peers handling access request volume together.
• Partner with technical and business stakeholders on access-related questions without owning the underlying identity platform, provisioning tools, or directory infrastructure.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience including h ands-on experience with access and identity management tools and frameworks.
• Background as a business or systems analyst with exposure to access governance, risk, audit, or compliance-adjacent work.
• Working knowledge of SailPoint or a comparable identity and access management platform.
• Proficiency with ServiceNow, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and related IT support and collaboration tools.
• Experience with access request review processes and segregation-of-duties analysis.
• Comfort operating in a high-volume ticket queue environment with defined turnaround expectations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across technical and business teams.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with SQL and comfort querying relational databases is beneficial but not required.
• Knowledge of health plan operations, such as open enrollment processes.
