TechNix LLC, for the Texas Department of Public Safety in Austin, seeks an IAM Engineer to design and deploy a centralized IAM framework using SAML 2.0 and OIDC for SSO and MFA, plus RBAC and application onboarding via REST APIs.
You will maintain IAM services, support SailPoint Identity Security Cloud, and coordinate with security and IT teams for ongoing maintenance and optimization.

Additional duties will include deploying a privileged access management solution featuring secure credential vaulting, automated password rotation, and just-in-time provisioning.
Beyond initial deployment responsibilities, responsibilities extend to long-term system maintenance, including performance tuning, troubleshooting provisioning errors and connection failures, and continuing onboarding of business applications.
Texas Department of Public Safety requires the services of 1 Software Developer 3, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Software Developer 3, Applications/Software Development and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Department of Public Safety.
All work products resulting from the project shall be considered "works made for hire" and are the property of the Texas Department of Public Safety and may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law. Texas Department of Public Safety will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s).
The Software Developer III will manage the enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) ecosystem throughout the contract. Responsibilities include designing and implementing a centralized identity provider framework using SAML 2.0 and OIDC for SSO and MFA, developing lifecycle workflows, onboarding applications via REST APIs, and establishing Role-Based Access Control. The role involves integrating IAM solutions across platforms, supporting IGA, Access Management, and Privileged Access Services, and collaborating with security and IT teams to maintain consistent IAM practices. Regularly assess IAM technologies, maintain technical documentation, and provide support for Directory, IAM services, servers, and databases.

pected to start 10/01/2026 and are expected to complete by 08/31/2027. Total estimated hours per Candidate shall not exceed 2080 hours. This service may be amended, renewed, and/or extended providing both parties agree to do so in writing.
