ZipStaff is seeking a Senior IAM Software Developer for a state public-safety organization in Austin. You will own the enterprise IAM stack: centralized IdP (SAML 2.0 / OIDC, SSO, MFA), lifecycle automation, application onboarding, RBAC, IGA, and PAM.

This is a hands-on engineering seat, not a ticket-only IAM analyst role. Design and implement scalable IAM solutions, automate provisioning with PowerShell and Python, and support SailPoint Identity Security Cloud, while partnering with security

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IAM governance, engineering, and scripting.
• 8+ years in onboarding applications with IAM.
• 5+ years designing RBAC, SoD, and certification campaigns.
• 5+ years managing centralized IdP with SSO/MFA.
• 3+ years SailPoint Identity Security Cloud implementations.
• 3+ years Privileged Access Management.
• 3+ years automating provisioning and reporting with PowerShell and Python.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Job Title: Senior IAM Software Developer (SailPoint)

Location: Austin, TX (On-site)

Employment Type: Contract (W2 through ZipStaff — No C2C or 1099)

About the Opportunity:

ZipStaff is seeking a Senior IAM Software Developer for a state public-safety organization in Austin.

You will own the enterprise IAM stack: centralized IdP (SAML 2.0 / OIDC, SSO, MFA), lifecycle automation, application onboarding, RBAC, IGA, and PAM. This is a hands-on engineering seat, not a ticket-only IAM analyst role.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and implement a centralized identity-provider framework using SAML 2.0 and OIDC for SSO and MFA.
• Build identity lifecycle workflows and onboard applications via REST APIs.
• Establish and enforce Role-Based Access Control, separation of duties, and certification campaigns.
• Integrate IAM across platforms; support IGA, Access Management, and Privileged Access Services.
• Implement and operate SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (user access reviews and application integrations).
• Automate provisioning and reporting with PowerShell and Python.
• Assess IAM technologies, maintain technical documentation, and support Directory, IAM services, servers, and databases.
• Partner with security and IT on consistent IAM practice.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years IAM platform governance, engineering, lifecycle automation, and scripting.
• 8+ years application onboarding / integrating business apps with IAM.
• 5+ years designing RBAC, enforcing SoD, and running certification campaigns.
• 5+ years managing a centralized IdP and configuring SSO and MFA.
• 3+ years SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (implementation, access reviews, app integrations).
• 3+ years Privileged Access Management.
• 3+ years automating provisioning and reporting with PowerShell and Python.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability to work on-site in Austin, TX.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years with a state government agency.
• Broader IGA / PAM platform exposure beyond SailPoint.
