Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Core Infrastructure Engineer for IAM in Nashville, TN. You will design, build, and maintain secure cloud services powering global authentication and authorization systems, with on-call rotations and strong emphasis on reliability.

You will craft scalable software, participate in design reviews, and push for operational excellence across monitoring, automation, and documentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in Java, Go, C++, Python, or a similar language.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals.
• Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Knowledge of concurrency, multithreading, and asynchronous programming.
• Understanding of cloud computing concepts and service-oriented architectures.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern development practices.
• Understanding of system security, authentication protocols, and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, PCI DSS).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-native services and microservices.
• Build highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
• Participate in software design reviews and contribute to technical discussions.
• Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in on-call rotations.
• Analyze system performance and implement improvements for scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with Product Management, and partner engineering teams.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback.
• Contribute to operational excellence through monitoring, automation, and documentation.
• Continuously improve engineering practices, tooling, and development processes.
