Job summary

Truist is seeking an IAM engineering leader to drive AI‑enabled automation, data engineering, and workflow modernization across IAM operations. You will transform manual IAM processes into scalable, governed, technology‑driven solutions that improve productivity, control, and delivery speed.

You will partner with security, risk, compliance, and business teams while guiding engineers and analysts through design, delivery, and adoption of secure solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience in cybersecurity, information technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in security engineering or related cybersecurity roles.
• Strong expertise in cybersecurity principles, threat modeling, security testing, and penetration testing.
• Experience with information security technologies, configuration management, and operational handoff.
• Advanced management and leadership knowledge to manage multiple teams and drive operational security initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and prioritize high-value automation, AI augmentation, and data engineering opportunities across IAM operations.
• Lead engineering and automation to design, deploy, and sustain repeatable solutions that reduce manual effort and improve operational effectiveness.
• Develop pilots, proofs of concept, and scalable implementation plans for AI-enabled workflow automation and analytics.
• Partner with IAM engineering teams, architecture, cybersecurity, risk, compliance to translate problems into secure technical solutions.
• Build data pipelines, dashboards, metrics, and insights that increase visibility into IAM operations and service health.
• Automate repetitive engineering and reporting to improve quality, auditability, and speed of delivery.
• Establish reusable engineering patterns, automation standards, and governance for AI, data, and workflow automation.
• Ensure solutions incorporate security, privacy, risk, regulatory, and auditability requirements by design.
• Manage, coach developers, automation engineers, analysts, and contributors with clear delivery expectations.
• Communicate opportunities, progress, risks, dependencies to senior leaders and partner teams to shape IAM automation strategy.
