Job summary

Covetrus, Inc. is seeking an experienced IAM / Automation Lead to own the strategy, operations, and roadmap for enterprise IAM across cloud and on-premises environments.

The role emphasizes automation, self-service, and cost efficiency while strengthening cybersecurity posture. You will partner with IT, HR, Legal, and Compliance to mature identity posture, drive M&A IAM integration, and deliver measurable savings through automation and engineering discipline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in information security or information technology with 4+ years in IAM.
• 3+ years as senior/lead technical contributor in IAM within large enterprises.
• Hands-on engineering experience building enterprise IAM automation (workflow engines, SCIM provisioning pipelines, self-service access).
• Experience integrating joiner/mover/leaver automation with HRIS (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors).
• Experience supporting audits (SOX, SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA) with automated evidence collection.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy, operations, and roadmap for enterprise IAM and automation.
• Lead IAM design, implementation, and operations (SSO, MFA, PAM, IGA, LDAP).
• Drive automation and self-service to reduce manual operations and improve user experience.
• Ensure compliance with IAM policies and standards per NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, SOX.
• Partner with IT, HR, Legal, Compliance, Cyber, and Procurement on IAM initiatives.
• Mentor IAM engineers and analysts in design, implementation and troubleshooting.
• Support audits with evidence of quarterly access reviews and remediation tracking.
