About the Israeli-American Council:

The mission of the Israeli-American Council (IAC) is to build an engaged and united Israeli-American community that strengthens the Israeli and Jewish identity of our next generation, the American Jewish community, and the bond between the peoples of the United States and the state of Israel.

Job Purpose:

The Community Engagement Manager (CEM) will work to expand IAC’s community impact and strategic investments in his/her region. The CEM will be responsible for organizing and managing programs & events, representing the organization, and increasing IAC’s awareness in that region. The CEM will recruit, maintain connections with participants, and manage operational aspects of the Eitanim program. This is a 15 hours per week position and he/she will report to the Regional Director.

Responsibilities include:
  • Understanding the target audience, reaching out to new communities, and creating connections with local representatives.
  • Overseeing and leading development, marketing, promotion, delivery, implementation, and quality of programs and community events.
  • Building, maintaining, and engaging an active community; serving as a contact for community leaders.
  • Developing strategies to recruit participants.
  • Planning, coordinating, and managing community events to meet program goals.
  • Updating the regional community about events and activities.
  • Ensuring all events and programs are properly branded.
  • Managing partnerships with external entities.
  • Handling operational issues related to programs and communication with participants.
  • Creating and initiating group events across multiple locations.
  • Coordinating cross-program events and collaborations with other organizations.
  • Engaging with community supporters on social platforms daily.
  • Managing the regional calendar and reporting on volunteers, members, and other metrics.
  • Representing IAC within communities and attending meetings to increase awareness.
  • Establishing and supporting a volunteer network.
  • Developing relationships with Israeli-American Jewish organizations for program sharing.
  • Participating in staff meetings, training, and conferences.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong connection to Israeli and American identities, with knowledge of their cultures, conflicts, and history.
  • Experience in community building and social skills.
  • Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Experience in the Israeli/Jewish sector is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media tools.
  • Highly organized and efficient.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Operational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work well with all organizational levels.
  • Fluent in English and Hebrew (reading, writing, speaking).
Employment Details:

This is a part-time position (15 hours/week). Full-time employees working over 20 hours/week are eligible for insurance benefits after the waiting period.
