IA Engineer/Cyber Security EngineerKBR is seeking an experienced Information Assurance Engineer II/Cyber Security Engineer to support Cyber Security Research and Software Data Analysis for the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) AIRWorks team (Proposal). This role involves ensuring the security and integrity of classified and unclassified systems and networks supporting research, development, testing, and evaluation (RDT&E) for critical aerospace systems.
You will collaborate with project teams to research, design, and implement secure systems and solutions. You will play a key role in assessing risks, ensuring compliance with DoD and Navy cyber security standards, and verifying the effectiveness of security controls in operational environments like F-35, FA-18, MQ-25 aircraft.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience: High School Diploma & 5+ years of experience in Cyber Security, or a related area.
Certifications: CompTIA Security+. CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) is preferred.
Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance with SSBI (Single Scope Background Investigation) completed in the last 6 years.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with cyber security concepts, tools, and frameworks, including Risk Management Framework (RMF) and eMASS.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Location: Remote (must reside within 50 miles of Pax River, MD)
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, EST hours of operation
Flexible remote workplace setting. Must reside within 50 miles of Lexington Park, MD.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week.
Compensation: $117,000-146,000. The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
