Job description

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must live in and/or near Des Moines, IA.
  • Experience supporting complex enterprise environments, ideally at larger enterprise companies.
  • Demonstrates a solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to integrate and leverage our extensive portfolio of services and OEMs to address complex customer needs and drive successful outcomes.
  • Strong experience with multiple disciplines required: Collaboration, Data Center Connectivity including Cloud, Campus & Branch Connectivity, Hyper-converged Infrastructure, Unified Communications, Wireless, Security Infrastructure including Next Gen Firewalls.
  • Experience with any of the following disciplines is a plus: Data Protection, Compute, Storage, Virtualization.
  • Ability to understand a client’s business model and determine technical and resource requirements for a solution aligned with business objectives.
  • Experience with scoping Professional Services and Enterprise Solutions Statements of Work.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, product demonstration skills, customer service skills, and presentation skills are required.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.

As a Consulting Systems Engineer, you will partner with Client Managers to deliver technical pre-sales support to Fortune 500 clients across various verticals, working with our Advanced Technology Center for training, demos, and proofs of concept. This role involves engaging in client meetings, technical design, and building client relationships, with a focus on infrastructure modernization, multicloud architecture, security, and digital strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent WWT's networking and data center expertise to assigned accounts.
  • Build data center solutions based on client needs.
  • Collaborate with clients and sales teams to identify technical priorities and challenges.
  • Deliver quality presales technical solutions, including configurations, diagrams, and proposals.
  • Achieve sales gross profit targets.
  • Develop relationships with OEMs and key partners.
  • Assist in Statement of Work and Proof of Concept development.
  • Ensure solutions meet customer needs and requirements.
  • Stay updated on networking, storage, server, virtualization strategies.
  • Possess strong leadership and client-facing presence.
  • Have knowledge of networking, storage, server, backup, and virtualization hardware/software architecture.
  • Cisco, Dell/EMC, NetApp, HP TSG, and VMware certifications are highly desirable.
