OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:
The IT Director will provide directions for the planning, organizing and execution of IT projects and operation functions for systems and infrastructure. This includes working with all IT entities, vendors and staff to meet customer requirements and maintain the availability and functionality of all mission-critical IT services. This position will work across organizational lines to ensure effective support and timely development and implementation of programs and/or projects. This position reports to the Director of Technology and Health IT.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
- Manage a team that includes user support, network and server support.
- Plan, organize, coordinate, assign, evaluate and execute all Information Technology functions throughout the Access: Supports for Living locations.
- Develop and implement strategic and operational plans for both the server and network systems.
- Leading, supporting, informing, and improving technical support, policies, and services.
- To review, improve, assess business requirements, plan and maintain.
- To assess the ROI of the server and network operations which would include operational budgets; management of budget expenditures.
- Evaluate recommendations for hardware and software products.
- Establish, support and implement standards, policies, and operating procedures in adherence to industry best practices.
- Assured standard practice is used regarding all technical support methods and server design, maintenance and operation.
- Manage support tickets to perform trend analysis that may be used to establish root cause of commonly occurring issues, In addition assure that the server team and network systems group are effective and efficient, meeting the needs of our users through periodic systems evaluations, modifications, and replacement.
- Manage the review of IT department projects prior to approval and verify after completion.
- All other tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:
- Strong organization skills with accurate attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to multi- task
- Hands-on experience with network administration.
- Able to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment
- Sufficient skills to communicate effectively with system users regarding technical and business issues.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of five years of appropriate experience, or
- Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years’ appropriate experience
- Demonstrated competency in core IT areas (DNS, Virtualization, Storage, Backup/Recovery, Data Security, Data Replication & Monitoring)
