Carter Lumber Company is seeking a Sawyer in Michigan to process i-joists per specifications, ensuring a quality product with minimal supervision. The role requires reading cut sheets, setting up machines correctly, and maintaining inventory while meeting production goals.

Candidates should have lumber/mill experience, be able to operate a forklift and chainsaw, and work well in a team within a fast-paced environment, including outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing/mill/lumber environment preferred.
• Able to operate forklift and chainsaw safely.
• Must read cut sheets and blueprints.
• Capable of repetitive work and fast pace.
• Able to work in inclement weather and in a team.

Responsabilités

• Saws: gather materials, read cut sheets, set up machines, ensure quality, track inventory, and load/unload semi-trailers.
• Safety: follow safety rules and report defects or hazards immediately.
