Job summary

INEOS Phenol seeks an Instrument/Electrical Technician for its Mobile, AL site. You will follow safety policies, service and calibrate a range of instruments, and work within ISO 9000 frameworks to maintain plant reliability.

The role requires 3–5 years’ experience in an industrial environment and familiarity with various control systems and site software. Join a team committed to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum 3–5 years' experience as an Instrument/Electrical Technician in an industrial environment.
Equivalent combination of training and experience.
Use of office equipment: PC, calculator, multi-line phone, copier, printer, scanner, fax.
Software may include Microsoft Office, Skype, Visio, Adobe PDF, SharePoint, SAP and Microsoft Project.
Site systems may include Emerson DCS, PI Data Historian, COA Database, Training Mine, Alfresco Document Management, Esker.

Responsibilities

Abide by INEOS Phenol safety policies and procedures.
Promote and maintain ISO 9000 within assigned areas of responsibility.
Assist in identifying and implementing cost reduction ideas to reduce plant expenditures.
Disassemble malfunctioning instruments and examine/test mechanisms and circuitry.
Troubleshoot equipment in or out of control system and replace or repair defective parts.
Inspect meters, indicators, and gauges to detect abnormal fluctuations.
Test accuracy of flow meters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, controllers, and other instruments.
Install and repair electrical systems and electronic components of industrial machinery.
