Job summary

Air Products is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician to support our Port Arthur, TX facility (with occasional Westlake, LA support). You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation, electrical equipment, and DCS systems, ensuring reliability, safety, and on‑stream performance.

The role requires a high school diploma or technical training, 4 years of electromechanical or I&E experience, strong troubleshooting, safe work practices, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED, Trade/Technical degree or apprenticeship in a related field.
• 4 years of Electromechanical or Instrumentation & Electrical experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault isolation skills.
• Ability to read blueprints, P&ID's, single-lines, ladder logic, and wiring schematics.

Responsibilities

• Measure pressure, temperature, level, and flow with instrumentation.
• Repair and troubleshoot instrument loops.
• Troubleshoot and repair control valves.
• Read blueprints and P&ID's, single-lines, ladders, and wiring schematics.
• Effectively use calibration equipment and laptops for equipment communication.
• Follow step-by-step calibration procedures.
• Use SAP to enter and retrieve data.
• Troubleshoot 480 VAC 3 phase motor controls and 120 VAC control circuits.
• Gas turbine experience is advantageous but not required.
