Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking an I&E Technician Intern at our Aragonite, UT Incinerator for Summer 2027. This in-person internship offers hands-on experience supporting projects across environmental and industrial services, with a focus on safety and learning from experienced professionals.

Expect to start May 17th or May 24th, internships run through August. Pay is $20 per hour and you’ll gain exposure to instrumentation, control systems, and field maintenance in a real operations environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in a two-year I&E program or electrical engineering.
• Knowledge of P&IDs and electrical schematics preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by following safe work practices and policies.
• Assist in troubleshooting instruments and control system malfunctions.
• Shadow technicians performing preventative maintenance checks, calibrations, and inspections.
• Support work on cabling, power distribution systems, switchgear, and motor control centers.
• Gain exposure to substation equipment and medium voltage electrical systems.
• Maintain accurate records and logs as required.
• Verify and update P&IDs, schematics, and technical documentation.
